Oh hi! It’s been a while since I posted an iPhone diary, and honestly with all these New-York related posts, I could almost forget that life goes on ;)

It’s been over a month now since I came back, and believe me, it was a rather busy month !

I’ve been quite reasonable with shopping in New-York, and I barely looked at the mid-season sales… so when Topshop announced their final sale, I allowed myself to order this tiger onesie, which turns out to be the perfect outfit to hang out at home and open the door to the pizza guy. AND I HAVE NO SHAME ! :)

Oh, this was a great night: I was invited to a cocktail workshop at Café Théâtre, in Ghent, a hotspot that I definitely have to show you asap ! This cocktail you see on the picture above is the best I’ve ever tasted, and the place is definitely worth checking out next time you pay us a visit. More on that very soon !

Another highly anticipated moment in october was Jay-Z and Timbaland playing at the Sportpaleis ! Of course, I had a whole outfit planned to pay them the tribute that they deserve: my 99 Problems T-shirt and my Timberland boots got me through the night !

My opinion on the concert ? Not sure. I mean obviously, Jay-Z is the king, he is incredibly talented and it’s so impressive when you have him just a couple of meters away ! What I didn’t really like was the whole “american big production” thing going on – I have much more sympathy for a simple, humble hip-hop show, with a plain setup, and without the corny “thanking each and every fan in the audience for half an hour at the end of the concert”. But still, I regret nothing. Oh yeah, only maybe that I went straight to bed while Hova was partying at Magic club in Antwerp…

Now that’s what I’d call a proper #TBT: I went to Huis Van Alijn to celebrate the launch of the Tijd voor 80 exhibition. Huis Van Alijn is a museum that presents, decade by decade, the daily life of Belgians through the 20th century. Each room is decorated with vintage objects and recreates a typical house from each time. I walked around the rooms for a while, remembering what I had seen before (“my grandma used to have exactly the same !”) and discovering new objects (“dafuk is this ?”), and I really had a great time.

The 80’s part will be ready at the end of November, so I strongly recommend you to come over at that time and walk through 100 years of history !

(For the opening, we had to bring a picture of us in the eighties so… tadaaahhh!)

November also means Press Days, the occasion to run all over town to discover what our favourite brands have in stock for the next season. This year, I really didn’t have enough time to do so (too much work to actually spend a day visiting press agencies :( ), but I did take some time to visit Oona after work and add a few things to my summer wishlist !  Now it’s full of Vans, Essentiel, Franklin & Marshall, Magdalena, Palladium, Puma, Sofie Claes, La Fille d’O… only 6 months to go #staypositive !

And eventually, it was time to get all anxious: last week-end, I was co-hosting the Red Bull Elektropedia Awards with Ben Van Alboom ! Every year, Red Bull Elektropedia calls all nightclubbers and electronic music lovers to reward the best belgian artists, songs, parties and such. It wasn’t a piece of cake, standing in front of 600 very excited people and announcing the winners, but I did it !

After getting off the stage, I put on some flat shoes and went to dance my ass off all night long at I Love Techno with my best friends !

This year, they had put a photobooth in the VIP, which was an amazing idea ! We took so many pictures there, and it’s so great that I can look at them in a few years, when I’m too old for this keep them forever…
